Sanctity of Life Sunday
Sanctity of Life Sunday is a Sunday set aside by the Pro-Life movement to recognize, remember and praise God for the Fifth Commandment. It is the Sunday closest to January 22. January 22, 1973 was the day the United States Supreme Court announced its decision for the Roe v. Wade case, legalizing abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy.
